Got crabs? What about cute felt objects?

We're ready!

Back in June, DH and I found a great restaraunt about 10 minutes from our house that served sea food by the pound that’s eaten with no utensils. DH thought I wouldn’t be up to eating at a place like that, but he was wrong :) We went with friends yesterday for lunch, and it was as equally amazing as the first time.

If you ever have the opportunity to eat at a similar restaraunt, please do! While I HATE getting dirty, I didn’t mind it too much at this place. Just be prepared to have fingers that reek like sea food and spice for the rest of the day. We chowed down on fried okra, calamari and fries, shrimp, and crab!

I got a package from my lovely friend Barbs today! She’s such a sweetie… she makes the cutest felt stuff, and sent some my way!

Ok, that’s all!

Life is one huge distraction.

As I sit here, a few minutes past 10:30 with no end in cramming in sight, I am now thanking God or whatever higher power made me take that hour nap that disturbed my study session earlier today. I’m not tired right now, thank goodness… but I’m sure I will be in the morning. Friend and I are stopping by Starbucks on our way to class tomorrow AM for SURE!

So I got a call a few minutes ago; my friend tells me we really have been over-studying for this damn test, and it’s almost comical. Figures. I am one of those slacker-students who doesn’t read material ahead of time and scrambles to read it prior to a test. Only, this time, I didn’t need to read the chapter, front and back. Nice.

I am so excited to be done with the test tomorrow, so I can come home and clean the entire apartment up and down. School has been distracting me from some very important elements, which resorted to me keeping the house clean by bare minimum. I feel like I’m living in a sewer. Yuck.

Yesterday was a lovely distraction from the impending doom of today and tomorrow - I went to the county fair and ate myself silly. I love fair food more than anything else, even if it’s too expensive for this poor college student’s wallet. After partaking in food and ride fun with my friend, we went home as I felt so uneager to get started on studying that has yet to cease.

I am so ready for tomorrow to be over.

What are friends for.

Hope you all are surviving the first day of Spring Forward ‘08. It’s past 11 pm, which was 12 pm yesterday, and I’m not at all tired. I spent the majority of the day trouble-shooting Barbs’ domain woes with our friend Nika, and well - we were all very much exhausted by the entire thing after spending close to 5 hours worrying about it. But what are friends for, if not to help you through this sort of thing? We’ve almost got it figured out, and our network site will be a reseller in no time. After that, I (along with Barbs) will be setting up shop on a new server. So look out for some possible downtime in the future.

I took the opportunity of a slow-moving day spent lazying around in my pajamas to finish my coffee cozies! Actually, I finished weaving ends in and making ends meet last night - today was spent packaging them up. I will be sending them off in a few days, I suspect. I’m so excited! I can’t wait for the recipients to use them!

Oh, and then there was my other project for the day: frogging my shawl. I hadn’t worked on it since I posted about it, and honestly, I’m just not a shawl kind of person. I’ve decided that I’m going to use this yarn to make the baby blanket (because if I don’t, I will NEVER get rid of it, and will continue to frog anything I make with it like a crazy person with a nervous tick). I found a cute pattern, which I’m not going to reveal because I’ve also noticed that I have a terrible indecisiveness when it comes to finding a pattern, sharing it, and then realizing that I don’t want to use that pattern. What a waste.

I’ve been meaning to change the look of this theme for weeks now. Really, I have. I had full intention of doing it today, until I realized that I really need to get these coffee sleeves out of my sight before I ended up never sending them at all. Soon, my dears. Soon. Until then, good night!
